Tobias Herbst is partner and manages our Rhine-Main branch. His tasks include real estate advisory and the preparation of valuation reports.
The Rhine-Main branch is primarily responsible for assignments in the federal states of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia, as well as the observation of these markets.
Tobias Herbst has worked in the real estate industry for more than 15 years and has gained extensive experience in real estate advisory and valuation. His activities included the liquidation of securitized real estate loans and advisory on the purchase of distressed and non-performing loan portfolios. The preparation of real estate valuations formed a core area of his professional activity.
Tobias Herbst’s professional focus includes real estate advisory in the context of property sales and purchases, as well as real estate valuation. His experience covers all relevant property classes and markets in Germany and Europe, especially in England and Ireland, France and the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland, as well as Italy and Croatia.
As Chartered Surveyor (MRICS), Tobias Herbst has committed to the ethical and professional standards of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. His registration as RICS Registered Valuer qualifies him to prepare valuations in accordance with the RICS Red Book’s International Valuation Standards.
Tobias Herbst began his career at JLL, a global real estate service provider. He was responsible for the structuring, coordination and execution of property valuations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Besides individual property valuations, he also managed large portfolio mandates.
He then joined Hatfield Philips, a credit servicer focused on CMBS and NPL in Europe. As Head of the German Real Estate Department, he was responsible for all property-related decisions. This involved instructing, reviewing and approving real estate valuations, monitoring the asset management of the real estate collateral and managing structured sales processes in the Special Servicing division. He also carried out due diligence on the purchase of real estate loan portfolios.
As part of a lectureship in the degree course Real Estate Economics at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), he gives lectures on the subject of international property valuation.
At the Center for Urban and Real Estate Management (CUREM) of the University of Zurich, he acquired in-depth expertise in the field of real estate valuation.
Oliver Loges

Oliver Loges is partner and heads our Hamburg office. His tasks include the preparation of valuation reports as well as real estate advisory.
The Hamburg branch mainly deals with assignments in Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Schleswig-Holstein, as well as the observation of these markets.
Oliver Loges has more than 15 years of real estate experience. As an expert, he has valued a large number of individual properties and real estate portfolios over the years. In addition, he managed real estate sales as well as the restructuring of real estate loans in portfolio management. He also acted as advisor on the purchase of distressed loan portfolios.
Oliver Loges’ areas of expertise include real estate valuation and advisory, including market, asset and portfolio analysis, as well as the development of business plans and the calculation of cash flows. Besides commercial real estate, such as office, retail and industrial properties, his practice area also covers special real estate, hotels and residential buildings.
Oliver Loges is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a RICS Registered Valuer. In addition, he is Certified Real Estate Valuer CIS HypZert (F) and publicly appointed and sworn-in as an expert for the valuation of real estate (ö.b.u.v. SV) by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.
He then worked for the global real estate consulting firm JLL. His responsibilities included the preparation of valuation reports and cash flow calculations, as well as providing transaction advice to potential buyers and sellers.
After having worked as consultant, Oliver Loges moved to the German branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland. Being employed in the portfolio management department, he was responsible for the valuation of the German real estate portfolio.
In 2011, Oliver Loges founded an expert office for the valuation of all types of real estate. In addition, he dealt with various issues in the context of advisory mandates.
Oliver Loges graduated in civil engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig with the master degrees of chartered engineer (Diplom-Ingenieur, Dipl.-Ing.) and industrial engineer (Diplom-Wirtschafts-Ingenieur, Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing.).
He acquired expert knowledge in real estate valuation for mortgage and savings banks at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
